Competitive Landscape Analysis Competitive landscape analysis is performed to understand the control points of your competitors. Control points are a significant factor in determining profit margin of a company. Some aspects of what we do are as follows: Review Key Competitors in terms of their technology position and intellectual property. Usually this goes hand in hand since most of the information describing technology details is typically contained in issued or pending patents that are publically searchable. Provide a Detailed Landscape Study that maps competitors and patents into taxonomy according to technology type, product type, overall patent position, etc. When possible other factors such as financial position will be included. This is helpful when trying to assess strengths and weaknesses of key competitors. Provide a Higher Level Synthesis of the work that summarizes results but allows review of the data and assumptions behind the view.
