Design Review -- review of the product in development is performed. During this review, we go over the entire design. I ask questions about the design features. We discuss what is new over previous designs, challenges this new design provided, and what is most critical about the design. During this time we generate a list of innovations, categorize them, and prioritize them.

Disclosure Summary Proposal--WDC Patents uses information taken from the design review process to generate a list of proposed patent claims. These are in outline form to being with. Each independent claim is a potential case. We then meet with the client to discuss alternatives for patent filing based on cost and scope of coverage. The output of this step is a defined set of disclosures, with each disclosure representing one patent.

Disclosure Generation--WDC Patents then obtains more information from each engineer to clarify details for each invention disclosure so that a patent application may be written. This harvesting process makes generation the patents very efficient and targeted.
